It’s the start of my weekend – as in, yay weekend!  I’m headed out shortly for a run … it’s a gorgeous 80 degree evening so we’ll see how that works for me. I’ve been pretty happy with my running regimen as of late – I think I’ve run pretty much every day over the past couple of weeks except for the little 3 day / July 4th staycation I had. I always feel better when I can be active like that on a regular basis. Teacher Man hates running, but I love to put my headphones on, crank my tunes, and hit the road. Some days it’s better than others, for sure, but I always feel better once I get out there.

And when I say “run”, by the way, I really mean jog, but running sounds way cooler and faster than my actual pace.

Tomorrow Teacher Man and I will golf in a charity golf tournament with my little brother and my niece, Miss A. – also a good time. And on Saturday, we’re headed to a mini Anderson family reunion because my aunt and uncle, cousins, and their spouses/kids are visiting from Arizona.

Sunday we’re back home for a brief respite (and laundry and grocery shopping) before I head to Washington DC for work. (To find out why, you can read my Agriculture.com blog here.)

(Why do I feel like I’m always grocery shopping?)

I took a little gardening break last night to take some updated photos of my flowers – everything is looking so lush and colorful. Plus my ‘Becky’ daisy is just about ready to bloom, which makes me immensely happy. Daisies are definitely in my top five for favorite flowers.

Enjoy the photos, peeps, and I’ll write again soon. In the meantime, what’s your weekend looking like?

And one non-garden photo of this guy … Earl the pug, who would rather hang in the air conditioned house vs. walking with me outside. 😉
