So here’s the dealio: it’s spring break at our house this week and Teacher Man decided it was time to refinish the butcher block countertops in our kitchen. I’m fine with that, of course, but it basically puts my kitchen out of commission for a few days. All my countertop space is in the process of being oiled, then drying, then oiled again, then drying again – multiple times. (After which case Teacher Man reminds me who wanted to have butcher block countertops and I smile sweetly and thank him for his extra effort.) It can’t be touched at all – and certainly not used for prepping food. This also means we’re working with the microwave or take-out meals for a few days.
Turkey Tuesday will take on a different twist this week – but I’ve got a fun surprise for you all! The National Turkey Federation has released several fun videos that are super quick and showcase some easy, delicious turkey recipes. If you are on Facebook, then you know what I’m talking about – these videos are similar to those one minute (or less) videos via BuzzFood or Tasty that show a recipe being put together.
Today I will unveil the first of these videos – Turkey Mac-and-Cheese in a Bread Bowl. I mean, of course I would choose this one, given my love for 1) turkey; 2) carbs; 3) cheese; and 4) comfort food.
Hello. This one is MADE just for me, I’m sure of it. 😉
So without further ado, here it is! And feel free to share away – the more who see it, the merrier. Who doesn’t need a little more turkey in their life, I ask you!
