I missed my regular Sunday night post because I was simply wiped out from such a fun weekend on the farm with my family. (Well, that and I wanted to fully focus on the 2nd to the last episode of The Good Wife. I am in serious denial that the series finale is next Sunday. Ugh!)
We drove out to the farm on Saturday afternoon so that I could hit up Babe’s Blossoms for some flowers and celebrate our niece, Miss A’s confirmation on Sunday.
Of course in between were our first attempts at Moscow Mules, a very Minnesota turkey hotdish (recipe here), and plenty of goofing-off time with our other niece, Miss Morgan.
My family is way fun! And I must warn you that I have a cavalcade of photos to share on this very subject. 🙂
I talked Joe into going with my mom and I to do a little plant shopping. (It was good bonding time with the women in his life, yes?) Despite his goofy expression, he actually did pick out a few plants that “spoke” to him – mainly because they had 1) cool names (like Dragon’s Wings) and/or 2) yellow flowers.
Sigh. It looks like Joe is quickly surpassing his Grandma in height.
After the trip to the greenhouse, we ushered in the era of our new family cocktail obsession … Moscow Mules! Super refreshing and I love, love, love the copper cups!
Moscow Mules enjoyed by my Dad, nephew, Teacher Man, and my sister.
Teacher Man got a lesson in Disney princesses from Miss Morgan!
These two sharing silliness and lots of laughs, as cousins should.
And speaking of Miss Morgan, we made a funny face selfie before church on Sunday morning.
Here we are a bit more, um, serious!
I love this picture of Miss A with Grandma and Grandpa (aka my parents)!
And with us. 🙂
Cousins!
Cousins with more funny faces!
And a Joe photo bomb with the girls. 🙂
Here’s Miss A with her bro!
And it wouldn’t be a photo of a family celebration without at least one dog picture. These three – Murray, Vinny, and Colt – watched longingly while everyone else was enjoying the sunshine outside.
Hope the start to your week is filled with plenty of sunshine and smiles!
