Please tell me I’m not the only one who loves eating dry cereal as a snack before bedtime.
Because I’m doing that right now.
There’s just something about a small bowl of Cascadian Farms granola and a small glass of cranberry juice at night. I have no idea why I love it, but I do.
And in other news … a ton of Memorial Day weekend photos:
My boys hanging on the deck at my parents’ house. (What you don’t see – my Dad making his awesome gin & tonics for all the adults hanging out. The official start of summer, right?)
These cousins, I tell you.
Both were awaiting the time to head over to their cousin Audree’s 17th birthday party and other cousin Davis’s college graduation celebration. And oddly, I didn’t get pictures of either of them, even though it was their day. Ugh!
But I did get a photo of Lobo, my parents’ Siberian Husky … she’s a beauty and a handful!
Meet Colt, my nephew’s dog. He never sits still long enough for me to get a photo of his face, so I have to sneak this in when I can. Here he’s looking across my parents’ yard toward his own house. Well, actually he’s probably looking for squirrels – or other dogs. 😉
Grandma and Morgan, walking back from visiting Lobo … so much green (no filter required)!
My mom has amazing gardens!
Life (garden) goals!
My sister and her fur children – Duke the puppy and Avery. 😉
My sister’s human child. Also known as Elsa from Frozen upon occasion.
Louie is my brother’s English bulldog. He loves to be lazy.
I have no reason to show this except that it cracks me up so much … and apparently my niece had to have it! (Full disclosure – the days until Hanukkah could be totally off, according to my sister-in-law.) And if you’re new to this blog then you may not know that my Dad and his side of the family is Jewish so that’s why you may see this in my brother’s house. 😉
Sunday morning = a ride in the Gator to hunt for monarch butterfly eggs on milkweed plants. Well, and goofy selfies with Elsa — ummm, I mean Morgan!
Bingo! We found some monarch eggs for my sister take with her … she is a librarian in Victoria and is hoping to bring the eggs to the library to show the entire metamorphosis from egg to butterfly!
That tiny white “dot” on one of the leaves is a monarch butterfly egg!
And finally … the temperature on Memorial Day.
In Minnesota.
In late May.
Crazy! But after our long brutal winter, I am not complaining.
