Another post so soon? I know โ what is happening in my world right now? ๐
I just had to share a couple of moments I had with Joe today. Teacher Man left this morning for a two-day golf trip with his good friend, Jim, so Joe and I had the house to ourselves.
Joe has been up to his room working on something on his computer since yesterday but he wouldnโt show me what it was until this afternoon. He composed a new song with multiple instrumental parts and I must say, my mind is a little blown! I mean, he has composed a piece for piano before but I didnโt know he had all this going on in his head. Wow! (And yes, I know Iโm his mom, but after you listen, I think youโll understand.)
Also today, he and headed to the local bookstore โ Buffalo Books & Coffee โ and picked up a couple of books to read. I picked โThe Light We Lostโ by Jill Santopolo and Joe picked โThe Odysseyโ by Homer.
Which leads me to admit I was reading Danielle Steel and Lavyrle Spencer romance novels when I was his age! Um, perhaps a little different there. LOL
Regardless, there is nothing better than a local bookstore where we can just drop in and browse to our heartโs content. I could hardly drag myself away from the cookbook/food section, of course โฆ I love browsing all the titles!
Tonight, Joe and I are going to have popcorn for supper (the best!!) and pick a movie from iTunes to watch. We will miss Teacher Man but we know heโs having a blast golfing โ and itโs also fun to have a little Mom-and-Joe time too before this summer gets away from us and he heads off to high school.
Which Iโm not going to think about right now, thank you very much.
Another great staycation day โฆ I could get used to this! ๐
