Hello Summer!

Now that June has arrived, I feel like summer is here and I am wondering why there is still three days of school left. I am ready for Teacher Man and Joe to have a break, although this means that I have an incoming freshman in high school in my house. 

Whaaaat?

Even though I work, it’s still summer. I will take some time off and we have summer hours at our office on Friday (hooray!) … it just feels less structured. I love coming home after work and be able to go for a long walk or work in my gardens – or both!

Tonight, Joe had his final piano lesson of the school year so I walked around downtown Buffalo taking some photos of the lake and scenery. We really do live in a beautiful little city that is really showing hints of summer now!

There’s even a community garden area that different businesses and families tend to – very cool.

My flowers are starting to show their true colors too!

The iris will be awash in blooms in the next day or so.
