Frost possibility? In mid-May. Of course itโ€™s Minnesota.

Sigh.

Well, Mother Nature, when you are ready to give us spring in more than one-day increments, I will be ready to plant my vegetable gardens and pot my flower pots and get my hands dirty in the soil.

Hint, hint.

  1. Had a lot of winter-kill, but gives me an excuse to hang out at the garden center! Before you know it, youโ€™ll be enjoying your deck/patio with all the plants flourishing like I am now on my front porch. Sun setting. Light breeze. New chair cushion. Wine. Nuf sed. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I always like the way you think, Diane. Yes, that is exactly what will happen โ€“ and soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

We had too much insulating snow for winter kill here, I think โ€“ haha! Actually, our evergreen trees took the biggest hit and are looking tough, but so far my perennials seem to be coming back โ€ฆ even my โ€œBeckyโ€ daisy, which NEVER comes back. Itโ€™s supposed to, donโ€™t get me wrong, but it always ends up a victim of winter here and I just buy a new one and plant it each year because I love daisies so much (and this variety has the most perfect blooms). But last weekend, I saw real, live, actual growth and I was sooooo excited! Of course, my husband didnโ€™t quite understand my level of enthusiasm or why I was jumping up and down in the garden โ€“ LOL!
